Lucy is a very sweet, quiet, senior lady that is looking for his forever home.
Lucy is looking for a quiet adult home, that has someone around a lot ie retired or work from home. She is happy as a solo girl or happy with another older quiet canine friend who is not full of beans.
Lucy has had an injury to her front right leg that has cause sever arthritis in her elbow joint, this causes her to limp when she is in pain. We have had x-rays and a bone biopsy completed to ensure that there is no bone damage and unfortunately there is nothing surgically we can do, but the good news is there is nothing nasty as far as further infection or cancer in her bones but she will be on anti-inflammatory pain management medication for the rest of her life (Gabapentin).
Her ideal home is one with a doggie bed in every second room where she can nap the days away after she had breaky and had a play in the yard. She is toilet trained and happy to sleep on the floor in your room or in the lounge room.
She will not be able to hop up onto couches without steps to ensure that she can walk up and down as jumping could cause her more pain for her – she does however love to snuggle on the couch and watch TV with her humans.
She loves to go for car rides and small walks, depending on how her leg is feeling, and is not fussed about cats. She is the sweetest little girl we have had the pleasure of meeting.
