Meet the beautiful miss Jessie.
Jessie came into care when her elderly mum died and her dad could not take care of her anymore. She had terrible skin issues, which still effect her today, but with ongoing treatment, she will not get back to her previous state.
Jessie is looking for an experienced dog owner, one with experience in skin issues, and can make her the centre of their world. She is a very sweet girl who wants nothing more than to be loved and be part of the family.
She loves snuggles on the couch and to laze her days away on a fluffy bed. She is also very food driven, so when eating around other pets, she needs to be separated as she likes to inhale food and look for more. She is prone to gaining weight from over eating so a strict diet, especially with her allergies, is needed here.
She is great with other dogs and is toilet trained. She loves a car ride and a little stroll with you – definitely not a marathon runner.
She is just beautiful and needs a second chance to live the life she deserves.
Medical Notes
Jessie has severe skin issues and will need ongoing treatment, this is not intermittent treatment, it will be forever to keep her healthy.
Whilst in care Jessie has had a dental and both ear canals removed (Jessie is now completely deaf), due to ongoing ear infections and damage from her skin issues.
Jessie has a grade 2/3 heart murmur – no medications needed at this stage.
Ongoing Treatment:
Cytopoint injection every 5 to 6 weeks
Malaseb bath with a leave in Phyohex conditioner, once to twice a week.
Her ears will still need a clean every couple of days to ensure no gunk build up
She is having Prime100 Duck and Sweet Potato
