Meet Fergus and Maggie, a sweet and loyal senior pair in search of a cozy couch to snuggle on.
At 13 years old, their love and affection for humans is still running very strong, and you wouldn’t pick their age from their energy levels.

Fergus and Maggie’s humans found themselves in the very sad situation where one has had to go into care and the other has a terminal cancer diagnosis. They then had to make the heartbreaking decision to find a new home for their beloved senior pets.
Very used to each other’s company, Fergus and Maggie understand the joys of companionship. Seeking a relaxed new home where they can bask in love, they are laid-back companions who adore cuddles and cherish every moment spent together with their humans. They can be a bit chatty with unexpected noises so will take some time to settle into their new environment.
Once settled in, they are both toilet trained and well mannered, however Fergus would like a door man as he doesn’t love the doggy door. Both enjoy going for walks together, but can be a little nervous and chatty meeting new furry friends. Fergus is also not a fan of bikes or wheels so you are aware, he can get overwhelmed, so some ongoing consistent positive reinforcement training would be perfect for this pair, with initial short walks during quiet times.
Both Fergus and Maggie are extremely sweet and loving, and would make the perfect companion dogs for a relatively active older couple – or lets face it, couch potatos. They are looking for a soft place to land to live out their twilight years together.

Medical Notes
Fergus (Poodle x Cavalier) has a grade 2 to 3 heart murmur with no medication needed at this stage.
Currently on a low dose of steroids, as he has had a cough and steroids make this subside. One tablet every 2 to 3 days currently is working well.
Fergus has been tested for cushings disease but reports came back negative. He had a lump removal and dental in March, with no further ongoing issues. Both he and Maggie have a couple of old man and lady lumps and bumps, but just seem to be fatty deposits.
Maggie (Poodle x Cavalier) has a grade 3 heart murmur and on daily Apoquel for itchy skin. She has had ongoing ear infections due to her poodley fluffy ears, currently they are fine, but a couple of drops of Elocon has been suggested by vet to keep further infections at bay.
